  • Homebrew package installs now use the new JSON API introduced in Homebrew 4.0. This should not make any difference in practice, but you can still revert to the old behavior by setting the HOMEBREW_NO_INSTALL_FROM_API=1 env var.
  • Related: the brew-install step has a new major version that speeds up installs and make them more reproducible.

Heads up: Xcode 15.1 is now installed on the same VM with its matching simulator runtimes (such as iOS 17.2). Using OS=latest in the destination specifier might match iOS 17.2 instead of Xcode 15.0’s matching runtime (iOS 17.0.1)
